For my final project I wanted to do something that would wrap up my blog something about me. My friend Carly gave me a great idea to do a picture collage of all my hobbies from my life so far. i chose 9 different hobbies. some of them are actual sports I did like swim-team, soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, and many more. The other pictures are of games or things I like to do like football, laser-tag, kickball, and ballet. It goes to show that you can try a sport and then try new ones because it is okay to try something new. Like this year I am starting softball for the first time and I am having lots of fun with it. Its really quite sad, but this is my final and last post. I hoped you had fun reading it all and seeing what art is. Thanks again for reading my
I was looking around pintrest when i found a really cool art design of a tree made out of a brown paper bag and little pieces of torn up colored paper. The only problem was that it was a fall time tree with orange and red leaves falling from it. Which that made me think because it is almost summer time and the leaves are coming back in all different colors. So I thought that I could turn the tree into a more spring tree. So I added many different colors to my leaves. After I made one tree I was thinking about doing 3 more trees and making a forest/grassy meadow. So I first tried to make the grassy meadow with paper then that didn't work so I took tissue paper and glued that down and it looked cool because there were 3 different colors of tissue paper like we see in grass today. After that was all done I had lots of little colorful scraps of paper left over so I just sprinkled them on there. It turned out really well and i hope that you like it too. This is my second to last post on my blog. Till the last post :) I wanted to do a project with a poem one of the poems that is dearest to all my family. The poem is "I Love You To The Moon And Back". The first time I saw this poem was at my Aunt Steph's house she had it on her door and in her kitchen. It later then passed all around are family and now we have it in are kitchen. So then all I needed was to find a picture or two that that poem would go with so I found the moon and tree picture and the boat picture. I tried to do it the same but I messed up some. I tried it with chalk and then with colored pencils and I just loved how both turned out so I just had them both be the final project for the 2 weeks of work time we got. Until next 2 week project :). For this project I decided to do 6 different tessellations from of the web using advance search to find free to use and share tessellations. I found 6 different ones and put them one by one into sketchbook. I played around with different colors and patterns to make the perfect match for the picture. I also took a couple of changing pictures meaning pictures of what I did. After that I put the 6 pictures into pic collage and transitioned them into 6 even boxes. Then after I saved them to my camera roll then I took the pictures of what I did and also did the same thing as the ending pictures. It was a very fun and easy project to do that only took me about one day. i just loved all the colors i chose and the millions of other colors to choose from. This is just one of my projects from my 2 weeks of work time. The other is a chalk and colored pencil art work with an "I love you to the moon and back" poem. Questions: What was your main take away from Nicky's family? What message from Nicky's family touched you or connected with you? What was the best part of your day? What was your favorite public artwork? Inculde a photo of it. What was the main message of the Quakerdale exhibit downstairs? Describe to me one piece of artwork from the Quakerdale exhibit. From the variety of artwork upstairs in the foundations show, which piece did you connect with and why? Were you inspired by anywork? What are your thoughts on it. Reflection: That if one man can help out and make a big impact then anyone can make a big impact it doesn't have to be huge. How really caring and loving the parents were and trying to cheer up there kids so they know they are safe when they got on the train. It would be really hard for me to go on without a mom or dad. It was so sad to hear them sing were is my home. I just cried the whole way through. I was wondering how did Hitler become so mean and violent. Did he have a bad childhood. I don't really know his story.Definitely it was the movie of sir Nicholas Winston and all the kids lives he saved. My number one favorite public artwork would have to be a tie between the horse and the flexible people. The pastel paintings of the sunset and a railroad really inspired me of the beauty that art brings.I was very inspired with the printmaking and pastel pictures especially the sunset over the water and the 4 different scull pictures put together. It was amazing to see how creative artist are and how almost anything can make a beautiful art creation. My project for this last week that I did was printmaking. It was hard to remember how to do it because we did it at the beginning of 7th grade art class. I was brainstorming but could not think of any ideas so i asked Izzy my friend and she gave me an amazing Idea to do a hobbie or a sport. So I picked my number one sport which is swim-team and I also won to medals in swim team last year. Then I found a swim team symbol online and drew the water and the person. Then I thought about my friend selia who went swimming/scuba diving with dolphins and I thought I just needed to have dolphins. Which I put over the swimmers head to look like the dolphins were jumping over the person and swimming with the person. When it was time to printmake I took the whole picture after it was cut out and put orange printmaking color on it then stamped that onto a piece of paper. Then I cut out the things I wanted to stay orange and then went over the cutout again but this time with blue printmaking color and tried to line it up before I stamped it down. Let me tell you it was really hard to line it up perfectly and I still was off a little bit. The printmaking turned out beautiful and I was proud of how well I did in that short of time. I did screw up several times trying to make it perfect but every artist screws up in one of there artworks and know body's artwork ever turns out perfect. Which makes me feel okay and now I am ready for my next art project. Till then :) Social Propaganda Poster Question What was your social media choice? What were some of your pros and cons? What side did you choose and why? Did you choose a pro or a con of your social media choice? What if you had the opposing view? What would your poster look like with the opposing view? What are you most happy with? Reflection My social media choice was Pintrest. Some of my pros were it is a very helpful site to find healthy recipes, fun ideas and many activities to do. Some of my cons were, it is very addicting and hard to get off of. I choose a con because it was easier to do and I already new what I was going to do. I didn't pick a con because I hate Pintrest. I love Pintrest I usually get a daily update on what is new on Pintrest. If I was against Pintrest I would probably no nothing about it and not even have an account or I am a guy and think it is too girly for me. My poster on the opposing view would have all these pictures of girly things and stupid jokes and show that Pintrest is a waste of everybodys time and I would consider never going on Pintrest. I am most happy with how well and easy it was to put all the pictures and text to together and so I got it done faster. Questions
Reflection We were given an assignment in art to make an imovie about what we do in one day but the catch is we need to keep all body parts out of the video. The hardest part was not showing any body parts. The easiest part was getting all the sound in the imovie and editing. What surprised me the most was how easy the sound was to get in the video and also to make the 20 or more videos. I learned that the editing of the video is a lot harder then taking the actual 20 videos and you have to have alot of patients with your editing and sound. I learned that there are alot of different things we do in one day and we don't all do the same things each day which makes it cool to watch what they do in one day. |
